It was the fall of 1994 when we saw our first alpacas almost by happenstance at a local wool festival. What started out that October day almost as a joke though ("we'll get two for the back yard!") quickly took on a life of its own. Alpacas consumed and entranced us as they do so many people when they first come across these amazing creatures. That first encounter though feels like it was a lifetime ago. In 2009 Cas-Cad-Nac Farm is celebrating its 12th year of operation and is a full time family enterprise comprising 3 barns, some 45 acres of pasture, and 4 employees (not including ourselves). Our herd numbers 250+ with award winning lineages represented from across the globe. When people ask us what CCNF is all about the answer is really quite easy: it's the fiber, plain and simple. We feel that the future of our industry's success here in the USA and throughout the world will be driven by our ability to continually advance the production of true textile grade alpaca fiber. Our show record over the past several years makes it clear that this strategy is bearing fruit. While anyone can get lucky once in a while tossing the genetic dice, consistent success on the show circuit and quality production over time is no fluke. We are proud to be cohosting the 4th annual National Elite Alpaca Auction with our partners at Virginia Alpaca Farm & Breeding Co. and we look forward to seeing you there! |

Friendly, Calm, Halter-trained Alpacas ~ Walk into any pasture on our farm and you will experience why we are recognized for our calm, friendly, approachable alpacas. This is the result of Sharon's procedures and training methods that create a consistent, respectful, and stress-free handling of each and every alpaca. We don't have a "farm manager." Instead, Sharon is actively at the farm seven days a week, ensuring that the care and handling of the alpacas is maintained up to her standards. Each alpaca is known by their name and individual personality. Judges and clients alike have continuously commented on our 'well-behaved' alpacas. Long-term Customer Support ~ Through our ten years of alpaca experience, we provide honest, ongoing support to our customers. We enjoy our high volume of repeat clients, with whom we have built supportive, friendly relationships over the years.
We are excited and honored to offer our outstanding bloodlines and look forward to seeing you at the 2010 National Elite Alpaca Auction! |
